Happy 5th, PattyNet!

Postby Turk » Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:21 am

The ado about Downtown Church kinda trumped this anniversary. But better late than never.

Thanks to Gillian and Patty's fans for keeping this place alive 'n' kicking!

For the friends I have made here
For all the smiles and laughter that opening these pages have given me
For some fun nights in chat
For Arlene's finger which always seems to be on the Pattypulse
For Turk's wicked sense of humour
For the great UK Pattymeets in London and Dublin
For Rob's stubborn insistance on always having the last word
For accepting those of us who are richer in years than hair (cough Bruce cough)
For Tim and all his soccer related pms
For all the wonderfully talented people here like Marybeth
For Keith and his annoyingly superb recordings and kindness in sharing
For that fantastic photo of DiscoFred and his feather boa
For those we have loved and still think about, even though we don't see them here anymore
For all those other amazing people here that I haven't mentioned but are still keeping Pattynet alive with their input
For all those priceless recordings that you lot have shared with me both here and at Jen's site
For the right to have different opinions yet still sit under the same pattytarp'

Thanks Gilly

Happy anniversary to you all

Thanks to Ian for KP and KR. And I do not always have to have the last word. Just look at all my replies when you start discussing soccer.

*drum roll* and for Ian--for his British humour, good taste in music, willingness to send copies of things and his great loyalty in the face of danger....er uh....I hereby crown thee....by the power invested in me by the great yet absent Gilly...*more drums* Sir Ian of the Pattynet.

Just seeing this now... I am so grateful for all the cherished friends I've made here! And who else would listen to my annoying recordings? (thanks Ian)

Really wish I had more time to spend here on PNet but I'm sure I'll be posting some concert reviews (and hopefully sharing some recordings) when Patty finally gets out this way.
I don't know nothing except change will come

Well actually, since you posted that Marybeth.. I haven't been able to get my head through the Pattynet door to reply until now

Am still not sure where all this loyalty in the face of danger came from though?
It was sounding a bit like the Brave Sir Robin sketch from Monty Python's Holy Grail movie.

And Keith... don't pretend you don't know the difference between annoyingly good and plain annoying
