Hey there! I just registered yesterday, glad to be here. Hi Mis!

I'm Vincent, almost 18, and live in New Jersey. Only got into Patty this year, but she's fast become one of my favorites. I got into my first car accident listening to Mary!

Looking forward to meeting some Patty fans!

Welcome, Vincent. You CAN'T introduce yourself with a story like that and not give any details :D I hope it wasn't Patty's magical voice that caused your accident!

Again, welcome.

Welcome Vincent! How did you discover Patty? Another NJ girl here, though I live in Germany now.

Hey all!

The accident occured a few months ago, actually. My neighbor Mary and I were extremely close, despite out sixty year age gap. She was such a rabble-rouser, and smoked four packs a day. She had the dryest sense of humor you've ever experienced too.

She passed away in September and I, not too wisely, put my Ipod on shuffle after leaving the funeral. I pulled out of the driveway as the first few chords of Mary came on. I had to pull over to the side of the road, and it was upon pulling back onto the road way before I had maintained my composure that I hit another car!

To this day I still try to avoid listening to some of Patty's more heartbreaking songs in the car, just in case. But Flaming Red is a great car album, hopefully crash-free too!

Hahaha...yay for more young people!

I got into an accident listening to A Thousand Kisses, I don't remember which song. I am glad I am not the only one! Although, mine isn't as depressing.

I figured even though I'm not new, this'd be the best thread to pop in and say hello. School and work are keeping me wall-to-wall busy, and my concert-going life as well as my social life has kind of fallen off the wagon...but I think about you all a lot and wish you all the best.

Hope everyone's doing well and taking care of themselves!

til next time,
~Elise
