Brandi Carlile

Yes, there's a whole world of music out there besides Patty.

The Ellensburg show is legendary - it's been floating around for a while - it's great stuff!

And thanks for your offer! Whichever format you like is fine, and I can always break down the tracks myself if it's too much bother. Just let me know. I generally use Megaupload to send stuff, but I'm not picky! Thanks again!

I have it as song files now, so I will upload and send you a PM with links later today. Also, you probably saw this site which has links to her 3 Pre-Columbia signing EP's ?

PC - someone else has actually sent me the file today - so I hope you haven't gone to too much trouble! And no - I hadn't seen that other page - thanks!

Mis did you notice her song "Wasted" was in a m4u (iTunes) format from that "we're growing up" EP listing? I converted it to mp3 which you can grab here. This is a really sweet song.

Wow, PC, thanks for unearthing all those songs...I'm happily listening right now. Great find, and thanks for sharing. :)

It's a bitch that I'm closing tonight at work or I'd totally stream the WFUV thing. I guess that's why I heart archives...hehe.

Agreed - excellent find! I actually have a poorer quality recording of Wasted than the one that's here, so thanks for finding and grabbing it! :D

My pleasure.

You all have given so much more to me in terms of links, tips, reminders, etc etc, so it's great when I can contribute back. If you didn't get all three EP's at that site (if they get taken down in the future), PM me. For reference the 3 EP's she did and released at shows before signing with record label are:

  • Open Doors (5 songs)
  • Room For Me (4 Songs)
  • We're Growing Up (11 songs)

How long does it take WFUV to archive that show? I missed it.

PCStuff, I would be very interested in getting those ep songs on a CD. I was introduced to Brandi's music when I saw her in November in Boston with Gillian, Nicole, Rob, Keith and KarenL. I was very impressed.

I have Brandi's performance opening for Shawn Colvin in NYC in November,it totals about 35 minutes. If you and any others would like a CD copy. Let me know.

Thanks,
Gerry

Gerry, basically I just downloaded them from that website link above, which only has them in MP3. Some of them are at 128Kbps, and others at 192 Kbps....so transcoding them back to CD will result in a loss of quality, unless you just mean copying the MP3's themselves onto a CD.

They are still at that website as MP3's, so you can still download them. I was more saying if that site deletes them (i.e. if Columbia or the RIAA Nazis goes after them)...that I have them captured.
