Tori Amos performing "Cruel" on Jools Holland:

The words "devil incarnate" kept coming to mind when I was watching it. This will be bliss for any Tori fan.

This may not be the kind of gem you were looking for but when I was trolling You Tube to find a version of Aretha Franklin singing "Respect," I came across her version of the Star Spangled Banner from the 1996 Democratic Convention. (No wonder Bill Clinton was reelected!!!)
Check this out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PfcffjoTkq4& ... 20spangled

Found this video footage from 1975, of one of my favourite bands of the day, Babe Ruth.
I had *such* a crush on Janitta Haan

Speaking of memories, I found a number of Thin Lizzyish videos, one of which is Stoke Walkways.

I had only heard Leonard Cohen's Stranger Song in a movie until quite recently.
Now here it is on YouTube.
Bonus points for anyone who can name the movie in which this song is the theme???

Let me know when you get to the tough questions-- McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971)
Tonto- I have a boot of Emmylou Harris performing at a record store in Santa Monica in April of 1997 with Daniel Lanois to promote the Slingblade soundtrack and not only does she sing a BEAUTIFUL version of Stranger Song on the boot but Lanois also mentions that he had recorded a version of her singing this song the week before. (It hasn't been released yet but I'm hoping it will be included on the 3 disc box set of Emmylou material to be released by Rhino next year--Emmylou has mentioned in interviews that the new box set will include some material that hasn't previously been released.)
Anyway, if you want a copy of the boot of Emmylou singing Stranger Song, let me know.

Do you know who did the theme song for F.W. Murnau's "Nosferatu"?? Anyway, if you want a copy of the boot of Emmylou singing Stranger Song, let me know.
I'd probably even want a copy of the Smoler-Harris Hillbilly Band singing "Stranger Song", so a "beautiful" version by Emmy would be most welcome
(any cheesecake photos of Julie Christie would be welcome as well ).
