I thought I wouldn't discover any new artist this year I would really love, and suddenly, I discover two of them, in the same week! Laura Marling is one, and Marybeth had already told about her several months ago!

The other one is this band, a girl and two guys. They're from various places, Sweden, Spain, Italy, they live in Barcelona, and sing in English.

Their music is simply delightful (but not folkish at all, rather of the cabaret kind). But it's pop and tuneful, colorful and poetic. It's like opening the window to a totally new landscape, it's fresh, and that's what I need in music!

Here's their Myspace.

I hope you enjoy it as much as me!

Interesting on first listen. Seems to fit in with this "wierd folk" thing going on these days or whatever it's called. Very offbeat things ala Regina Spektor seem to be popular....

It's very European, too. There are images flowing in the mind while the music is playing, don't you think? It's almost like going to a movie. We could recommend it to those who liked Amelie, a few years ago.

The melodies here are so sweet.

Sweet dreams before going to sleep. Recommended to children, too. Great Christmas gift.
