Performing Songwriter RIP

Postby sfboy » Tue Jun 16, 2009 11:25 am

I've had a subscription to Performing Songwriter for years and years. It was always the music magazine that I loved the most. It had great reviews (they gave Marybeth a great review if I remember correctly!) and great articles and recently Jill Sobule had been hired on to write editorial pieces that were so funny and incisive. Well I just got a letter saying that this issue would be their last one. The editor didn't come right out and say it, but it seems like their readership had been dwindling, possibly as a result of the economy and possibly as a result of the lack of interest in print media in general. I'm really really bummed.

Some people don't care if they live or they die
Some people want to know what it feels like to fly
