RIP Michael Jackson

Yes, there's a whole world of music out there besides Patty.

That video is painful to witness. If Shawn had done it with the others just singing harmony, it would've worked.

That was a great video.

But I am so ready for at least the news channels to get back to actually, at least half-reporting, the news. I am sick of 24/7 wall-to-wall coverage of MJ.
I guess I'm taking my chances
Giving up the ring, throwing in the gloves
I guess I'm taking my chances
Trading in my things For a couple wings on a little white dove
And one big love, one big love

I'm glad that Michael had a respectful service yesterday. Any person who has had a profound impact the way he has deserves that much at least.

As I have said previously in the Cat Steven's thread, an artist's work can and should be separated and valued independent of the human foibles and failures that created them. Throughout history some of the greatest and most impactful art is produced by very tortured and twisted souls. I fully salute and appreciate Michael Jackson's creative genius and artistic contributions.

His personal issues are like everyone's personal issues, only his were magnified and went unchecked--commensurate with the corrupting power of his accomplishments.
