Matt Morrow - new music

Postby gillian » Tue Apr 19, 2005 1:45 am

Matt Morrow just put up a MySpace music page, and I'm really excited because he's posted two of his new songs - "Don't Make a Sound" and "Corona." I've got an early version of the EP that these tracks are going to appear on, and all of the songs are amazing! These are two of the best tracks... I highly encourage everyone to check them out! :D Also, I know that Penguin will be more than happy to attest to these songs' greatness. ;)

Also, more huge news for Matt....
He will be opening for Antje Duvekot at Club Passim (Cambridge, MA) on June 29th! This is such a great opportunity and Antje is incredible! Congratulations, Matt!! :D

(By the way, I will be at the show, so if any other PattyNet'ers think you can attend, let's plan!)

this sounds REALLY great Matt. I'm impressed by how much your songwriting has matured. And that voice.....well the ladies fall for it.

I hope someone is going to tape the Club Passim show?

WOW

These are two VERY good songs Matt!
Of the two, I gravitated more to Carona
LOVE the harp!!

But both songs demonstrate that you are growing and evolving in your songwriting and singing.

VERY IMPRESSIVE

And the fact that your playing Club Passim with Antje...
...well, now that's the kind of shit fairytales are made of, mang!!!

Can't wait to hear the nwe CD.
Believe me, I will be turning my friends onto your music!!

Keep it up dude....I'm goin back for another listen.

I'm lucky enough to have been listening to these new songs for a while now, and every single one of them is fantastic. This new EP is going to be excellent! Everyone go listen!

As far as the Antje gig, what a great acheivement. I was planning on going to Louisiana that week, but I'm now seriously considering changing my plans so I can see that show. We'll see!

Matt clued me in on these songs a few weeks back and I've been playing them on my computer constantly. I agree, you can hear the increased strength of his writing. I love his first album and I'm SO excited for the EP. You rock Matt! My friends always ask "what are we listening to?" when we're in the car and I'm always so proud to say "This is my friend, Matt."

Wow, those songs are both so lovely. I really enjoyed listening to them Matt, your voice is wonderful and I could listen to it for hours. There is something so vulnerable/powerful/soothing in your voice. Your writing is wonderful as well and as I am a writer myself I really enjoy the images/story you create. I know that you already have a ton of fans on this board but I'd like to add my name to that list.
