A home grown piece of film but an atmospheric accompaniment to one of Thea's usual evocative songs.. Joan Baez features on this too.

I know there's still a few people who apreciate Thea on this board, so I'll just keep on posting these as I find them.

This one is real special though. A long lost promo video which recently surfaced and was kindly reproduced on YouTube by another fanatic.

Thea's first ever live album "Recorded Delivery" has now been confirmed for release on May 18th on Fullfill/Universal.

The full track listing is:
Old Soul
Concrete
You And Frank Sinatra
Rosie
The Lower Road
If You Miss Me At The Back Of The Bus
Icarus Wind
Have You Heard
Juliet
Everybody's Numb
This Girl Is Taking Bets
My Own Private Riot
Rags And Bones
When I Get Back To Shore
Inverigo

The recordings are taken from UK shows during 2006 and 2008.
Thea's live sound engineer, the near-legendary Professor Sparks, has long since been recording gigs on a regular basis and Thea - along with producers Nigel Stonier and Mike Cave, - has been wading through anything up to 30 versions of certain tunes to find the definitive set of performances for this record.
Thea said "People have been asking me for years now when I would get round to a live album. Everyone has their favourite song that they think should be included, or a particular gig they have fond memories of... as ever, all I can do is be true to myself and go for the performances where I felt I brought something new and special to the material."
If you want to be the first to get your mitts on a copy you can have yours as early as May 4th by buying it from the labels Ebay store..

I've had Thea's live album 'Recorded Delivery' for just over a week now and wow! it's so good.

I guess that few people here have seen her live and doubt if anyone Stateside has seen one of her 'electric' tours with a full band.
I can't tell you just how great those electric shows are but the new album does go some way to capture some of the excitement and power.

If you are fan... this album is a must anyway but even for the new or casual fan, it's a great compilation because it's split into half accoustic/electric and really covers all of what's best about Ms Gilmore.

When I last saw her with a full band in Oxford in 2006 (with Marmalade off here), I managed to get some crappy cam phone footage. As you'd expect, the audio was barely listenable but with a little bit of techno jiggery pokery, I've managed to sync it with some of the new audio to give you a wee insight into the Thea experience .

If you've ever considered getting a Thea album and not known where to start.... this is the one

RECORDED DELIVERY!!!! it delivers.

With apologies to everyone except Elise... Yet another bloody Thea Gilmore video

I unearthed this rare clip of Thea (with band) that was supposedly shot for a live DVD. Fucking terrific news if true..

Yes, more Thea video I'm afraid.

I had seen Thea's Wintertide tour the week before but I was gutted that I couldn't get tickets for her final show at the Telford's Warehouse in Chester. Hence I was delighted to find some kind soul has managed to get some great video of that night.
You really need to check out all of this guys videos but I'll refrain from posting more than two myself.

First up is Mainstream which features the excellent Rod Clements on guitar.
For those who don't know, he was one of the founder members of the 70's BritFolk band 'Lindisfarne' and co-wrote some of their greatest tunes like 'Meet me on the corner'.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gqwowWrpW2U&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gqwowWrpW2U&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Next is the song which pushed Thea's own 'Xmas Cheese' boundaries to the very limit lol.
At all of her Wintertide shows, she gave a member of the audience the chance to choose the closing song by throwing a dart at a special board made up of a number of cheesey Christmas hits like this one.
Not a great idea when some of the audience were so drunk by this point that they couldn't have hit a horses arse with a banjo
