Cara Dillon will be in the States later in the year as part of the 'Woman's Heart Tour', with Mary Black, Sharron Shannon and Maura O'Connell.

I would have loved to have seen these girls on stage, all together.

You lucky people!

Anyone maybe taping one of these shows?

You lucky Americans!

I had the pleasure of seeing Cara with her band several times when she was opening for the Indigo Girls in the UK back in 2002 and she really has something special... Don't miss her!

Ooh it appears that Cara is on this 'Myspace' thingy where you guys all seem to play these days.

a/ resists signing up for fear of falling further into cyberspace

Nice to have it in the background though and to listen to one of my fave' Cara tracks 'Broken Bridges'.

Two of Cara's new songs can be heard on Pat Kenny's 'Today' program from last Friday.

Cara appears 1 hour 25 minutes into the show.

What a sweet voice. I ordered her two previous ones.

I bet you would also like Karan Casey. Check her songs on Amazon

I recently got a bootleg of Cara's appearance at the 2003 WOMAD festival in Adelaide, Australia. Ian tells me there are a few songs on there that are rare----"Dark Inishowen" and "Spencer the Rover"----that haven't made it to CD yet??
It's wonderful listening!! I was surprised to find that boot hasn't been widely circulated (in fact, I couldn't find any evidence online of its existence
 )

Cara has a somewhat "small" voice IMO (which isn't necessarily bad), so I would have thought that appearing with these big guns might be intimidating for her?? Mary Black has one of the greatest voices ever and Maura O'Connell's voice is just HUGE, so Dillon's voice could come off as lightweight in comparison.

Agreed that Cara's voice is delicate. The only time I've heard her sing with artists outside of her band was with The Indigo Girls and it didn't really work.
