Kudos for PattyNet posting format (or whatever it's called)

Postby TontoBronto » Thu Nov 10, 2005 7:42 am

Some other forums I frequent have rather different formats (all of which suck in one way or another).
A Marc Cohn forum has no edit/delete button or any way to preview a message before sending, so it's easy to post glitches (like wrong links/dead links). Before sending, one's post is squeezed into a 2" X 2" box that is hard to proofread.
Yahoo groups often screw up long links unless they're sent to tinyurl.com first. Not a major problem, but it's a pain IMO.
Myspace's use of HTML sucks IMO---I can never remember the technique, so I just post anyway and readers have to cut and paste.

So Thanks for choosing this format!

I have to agree. I frequent a vegan forum that has the crappiest, most difficult to navigate format ever. I still don't know if it's possible to PM people on it. You can't edit posts and there is no way to have an avatar. Poopie!

PN rocks the 'net!
It's the same old thirst for more
Until they put you in the dirt

Of a door that I kept locked
But I decorate the threshold
Just in case you knocked
