Patty and Robert

Well, we had this conversation in Pattynet's absence on FB. Very highbrow it was indeed.

Robert Hack Ditto what Adam said, but if true, there goes my chance. Wish there was a board where we could discuss this.

Keith Bergendorff If this is true, I better see that sumbitch doing their next tour as Patty's backup singer! ;)

Robert Hack Not official, but it may be over between me and Patty. And instead of sterile FB, wish the board was still up.*sigh* #OccupyPN

Russell Weaver Married or not, it's waaaaay past time for a new album of original music. Enough of this dueting and backup singing already.

Seriously hope this isn't true.

It's not that I don't want to see Bob get happy in his old age but pfffft....

You just couldn't tell your friends you're into 'Patty Plant' :o

That sounds more like a cartoon character than a country folk diva

If they are married, maybe he'll call himself Tony Griffin. His middle name is Anthony.

That's Patricia Joan Plant to you... (sheesh!)

Well-- I'm very glad she seems to be happy but I would hate to see her as Allison Moorer, writ large. It would be a shame if she let the career of a more famous and admittedly incredibly talented partner overshadow her own enormous talents. In my opinion, the sad truth is that if she takes significant time out of the limelight, at her age, it's not going to be easy to pick up the pace at a later date, if that's what she decides to do. Of course, the relationship with Robert Plant will open up many opportunities, and bring her to the attention of a larger audience, but if that relationship ever breaks up, it may not be easy to recapture the audience that she already had. Anyway....

Well maybe you have a point there, although I do think that Patty Boyle would trip off the tongue a lot better and be much more in keeping with her Irish ancestory

Totally off topic but as I typed that, I remembered an old girlfriend from my dim and distant past whose name was Vikki Degg.
How I wish we could have got married... not least because she was strikingly attractive but mainly because we could have hyphenated our names and become ...

Believe it's true, and tragically a great hyphenated surname was lost, but totally off topic, tis.

I love how Patty's wearing heels to pass out Halloween candy :P . I don't care what they do one way or another. I just want a new album of originals, not covers, not backup vocals just Patty singing her talented heart out!

I would say Patty could go with her initials P.P. instead of Patty Plant but uh P.P. doesn't exactly work either, does it hahahaha
