Chicago tickets on sale Friday at noon Chicago time. Not crazy about venue, but happy it's in Chicago! Friday night isn't bad either!

Not complaining, just making a point. There are so many great venues here, and Patty seems not to play at them too often. Have to admit, seeing her at Schuba's was a treat beyond belief and a show that likely will never be topped.

Man, I just checked the first show. It's only $20, $15 for students. I love Patty for this. I just wish she were playing somewhere where I could go.

The Schuba's shows were terrific (frozen weather not withstanding) and well worth the trip to Chicago. Scott G and I still talk about the pizza. We're with Jon Stewart on that subject. :P And Ryan Bingham opening wasn't too shabby, either.

But IMHO, Lizard Lounge a week later in Boston was better. Wish everyone could've gone to that one. Only 100 people. You can see Keith and Karen sitting at a table to Patty's left in the video. And on the other side, Gillian, Mis, etc. And the luckiest dogs of all, John Higgins and I were right in front of her.

Still, Schuba's was right up there. Ryan, standing at the foot of the stage and meeting other Patty fans you only knew by a name on the board. Glad to see folks remembering them. Now if we could only forget the pizza.  Alright, it wasn't that bad. And considering how cold it was, it did hit the spot.
