6.75 service charge per ticket! You have to be kidding me, that's insane!

I'm going to hit up the Aladdin box office before work tomorrow and get my tickets there, where the service fee will only be $2. It's such a freaking crime!

I also see that Willy Porter is going to be there in March with Peter Mulvey opening! That's going to be an AMAZING show, I've seen both of those guys play since we've been here, thanks to Roy, and they were some of the best shows I've seen. That will make a great Valentine's Day present for Jim...

Oh, yeah, I'm with you, Kris. I went to the theater today to buy my tickets so I wouldn't have to have any contact whatsoever with Ticketmaster (ick ick ick!).
You can tell Patty's getting "bigger" by the price increase. But I don't mind. I know it'll be worth every penny.

I got my tickets today. It looks like Terremoto is opening. I've never heard of them, so I'll have to look into them soon. I can't wait for that darn album next week!

Hi! I just wanted to let you know...you will absolutely LOVE this tour. Patty is in fine fine fine form. Terremoto is Michael Langorio's (sp?) band--it's Michael and another guy who plays bass. It's not what I would normally listen to but I really enjoyed them. Close you eyes and just bop along and you'll have a great time!

Have fun!

Yay! Jim and I will be there at 5 to get in line, probably followed shortly by Roy and his daughters. Karla, are you bringing you man?

It was an amazing performance. Patty looked super cute, like a sassy 50's housewife in a black dress with little white polka dots and red fishnets.

This concert could have been called: "Old drunk geriatric dudes know Patty's lyrics too" thanks to the fantastic guy sitting in front of us and Karla and her boyfriend. Oi. But, while he had his moments, it was a great, great show.

Okay, here's the set list. My pen ran out of ink moments before the show started, so I wrote as hard as I could to make an imprint. Pretty sad, eh? But I used my special decoder and here it is (with asterisks marking my favs):

J'irai La Voir Un Jour*
Get Yourself Another Fool
Stay on the Ride
Trapeze
Useless Desires*
Burgundy Shoes*
Kite Song*
Be Careful
No Bad News*
Love Throw a Line*
Heavenly Day
I Don't Ever Give Up
Up to the Mountain*
Icicles

Encores:
Sweet Lorraine*
Long Ride Home*
Top of the World*

I was worried with the past few set lists that I wouldn't get to hear Top of the World and once we hit Long Ride Home I resigned to not hearing it, so imagine my surprise and delight! Woo-hoo! Sweet Lorraine and Kite Song were great treats too. Finally hearing more of the new songs live is really changing the way I feel about some of the ones that are talking longer to grow on me.

I'll try to write something more detailed and interesting later.

What a great encore triple play!!! My dream encore. Well, my realistic dream encore, as my dream encore (Florida, the Moon Song, and Riding with the Amazons) will probably never happen. Glad you had such a good time!
