well, suggest away then, miss snooty... just not a restaurant i have been to 17 times already.

i am not invested in either at this point.

I'm just telling you my preference. I prefer Malaysian to Italian or seafood.

I really don't care where we eat. I'm for just picking a place. (I'm much more interested in the company and the music.) However, I'd note that this place has notoriously terrible service. See http://www.yelp.com/biz/zbGd79koEtFfSJnh-2SktQ

Zagat rated the service as adequate. As of now we have 6:00 reservations at Citrus AND Penang so let's nail this down! Gilly, you okay with Citrus?

Oops, so are we back to Penang? I don't really want to spend a fortune on dinner either.

Having been to Citrus, I will weigh in. IMHO, it bites. The service DOES suck and the pricey food is really nothing to write home about. And the $10 drinks, trust me, you can live without them.

I'm still for Penang.

Sorry, Nic, but....

Land is fine for food, but it's honestly not a very good spot for larger parties. It's small and pretty damn cramped in there. The tables are almost on top of each other. I liked the food, but I really disliked listening to the conversations going on right next to me.
