I know! Even I'm surprised. Five shows during the "mini" tour, 4 in the midwest, and still to be determined how many on the east coast. Wow!

I just checked Ticketmaster and it looks like the Chicago show is sold out!

I have one extra ticket if someone is looking. The location is: section SILVR3, row C, seat 6.

PM me if interested.

Great show tonight. Patty was so great as usual. This show was special as I went with my 11 year old daughter. The Vic is no Schuba's but it has it's charms, not including the ladies room with no toilet paper.

We sat up high in the balcony, but we could see the whole stage great. Really nice perspective actually.

Terremoto was a disappointment. Luckily it was short.

Here's the setlist, pretty accurate at least up thru Love throw a Line:

1. Get Yourself Another Fool
2. Stay on the Ride
3. Trapeze
4. Useless Desires
5. Burgundy Shoes - first time I really really realized how great this song is
6. First Star - ditto - amazing song
7. Cold As It Gets - solo - poignant, unexpected and awesome - played right after someone yelled "Patty for President" - not sure if she decided to play it because of that comment or not
8. Mary - solo - played because her brother was in the audience
9. Forgiveness - solo - really amazing to hear this one live
10. Be Careful (with Doug)
11. When It Don't Come Easy
12. No Bad News - really got the house rocking
13. Love Throw a Line
14. Up to the Mountain (with Doug)
15. I Don't Ever Give Up
16. Heavenly Day
17. Truth #2 - mentioned the great Dixie Chicks version

encore
1. Nobody's Crying - just incredible
2. Tony - really glad she played this one, for my sake, but disappointed for my daughter she didn't play her favorite, Rain
3. Getting Ready - boistrous way to end a great evening.

Patty's never disappointed me. I still can't fathom how she pulls off such consistently amazing performances. Her stage presence is getting more and more confident. She's not doing any more tuning or fumbling. Tonight not even any flubbed lyrics or song restarts. Not that I mind them, just a more professional show though. Love Bryn Davies, too. Trapeze is terrific with her on vocals.
If I died, he'd hear about it, eventually.

Your setlist is almost right on, Jon - just flip Heavenly Day and Up to the Mountain and you've got it.

Again tonight she played Truth #2 instead of Icicles, which was on the setlist... sent everyone in the band scrambling for different instruments (except Longoria of course). So cute. At least they had a little warning this time due to her introduction of the song.

Nobody's Crying was a real treat, as of course was Forgiveness. I was really really hoping to hear it tonight, and I did. Yay!

I have to say, Chicago audiences are the best, from the shows I've seen. They're always very loud and supportive but also very respectful.

I disagree about Terremoto being a disappointment though... I've enjoyed their set for the last 3 shows and bought their CD two nights ago in Madison. They have this really great song dedicated to the New Orleans refugees. At Madison, Patty came out and sang backup vocals on it. Tonight I asked Michael if they were going to put that song out on a CD and he said yes, and that Patty will be on the recording. I can't wait for that to come out.

Pictures!

just wanted to say

I know this is way old but I couldn't login for a long time and I wanted to say that this show was amazing! I didn't care that I went by myself except that I almost had to sit behind a speaker! But I didn't.

Anyway, Patty did blow me out of the water. It was so amazing and I wished it could have went all night. Sadly, I haven't been able to catch her since but she's on the list as my husband has fallen in love with her too!
