subject ellsworth, night one
(from billy)

solo set:
Kite Song
Backwater Blues
Long Ride Home
Mary
Be Careful

encore:
Rain
Gettin' Ready

Otherwise, typical set.

Acoustics were ok - there were some problems mid-set with Patty's
vocals getting muddy, but they got it fixed quickly.

I was row six, aisle on the left. I felt a little bummed until I
realized that Patty's mom and Scott Miller's friends were sitting next
to me. I'm in the same row, aisle right tonight. Very small venue -
only goes to row R - probably only 500 seats.

Patty said that Frank (bassist) is going to a wedding on Cape Cod
today, so they will be playing a completely different, mostly acoustic
set.

I'm very excited.

Hey Nicole

What a great setlist. Wow! Must have been a great show. What is Live Forever? Is that a new song? And is it Live the adjective or Live the verb? (I'm guessing the latter).

Is she doing the slower version of Flaming Red live or is it more like the album version?

Live Forever is a Billy Joe Shaver cover... title is the same as the Oasis song.

Thanks for posting Bill and Nicole. I hadn't heard Live Forever before, but really like the version posted, thus Patty's one must have kicked ass. Hope she keeps playing it. Did anyone attend the South Portland Auditorium show? Thanks again guys.

I was at the Portland show... it was excellent. Nearly sold out...

Patty's set seemed fairly typical for this tour...

Her solo set included...

Making Pies
You Never Get What You Want
Backwater Blues
Be Careful

The piano songs she played were Kite Song and Burgundy Shoes.

Encore:
Let Him Fly
Rain
Getting Ready
Subtly eccentric...
