Knoxville "Three Girls and Their Buddy" tour, Jan.

Postby RedEarth » Fri Nov 23, 2007 5:35 pm

My boyfriend, Nick, and I are looking at this date and thinking we could get something fun together for it, if anyone's interested.

Nick's got a family cabin in Dandridge, which is about forty minutes or less out of Knoxville, on Douglas Lake. It's a semi rustic cabin with heat and indoor plumbing, and best of all, plenty of room for people to crash.

I couldn't help but notice that you're considering this date and location, Turk. :) Scott, want to bring the family? Elise and Lime, are you in Ashville? It's not so far :) Ang? Whadya think? Anyone else interested?

By the way, it's Patty, Emmylou, Shawn Colvin and Buddy Miller, and tickets go on sale December 7th.

Interesting... I don't have a calendar nearby, but my counting indicates that might be a Saturday...? I'd certainly hope we might be able to make that. Are you sure you wouldn't mind kids? Ang? Lise? Turk? What say you?

.... seems like I remember hearing that a lovely frau will be in the states around then....

Oops. Forgot to add the day on the post title. It's the 12th, which IS a Saturday.

Yeah, Scott, kids are more than welcome, and if you bring yours, I might bring my little ones, too.

Count me in.
I have a sister in Knoxville who may go to the show, but she's not much of a socializer so I may need a ride from the venue to the afterworks. Let's play it by ear. I'll be at the Knoxville show, though, I'll bring my pathetic keyboards.

Awww... I will see what I can do. Russ' son is coming in for the holidays..and that might be the day we take him to the airport. So..I will have to get back to you on this. Man..seeing Patty and hanging out with all of you again would be soooo wonderful. I'll see what I can do!

I wish I could, guys, but I don't think it's possible for me. :( What with moving, working, and having no money...sigh.

I hope y'all have tons of fun! Count me in the next time.

I'm doubtful as well. Maybe later in the year when we have more time saved up? We'd get together with or without a Patty show.

I'm game for a meet up later in the year, too...when I don't have to pay for a stupid house.

It looks like we'll put this off until later. I do think it will be funner there in the summer, especially with the lake right there. So keep it in mind if you'd be up for it later. I miss you guys.

I will be saving my leave time (as best as I can) and hoping Maria is off.
I miss you all too!

As par for the course, I had to miss the Chattanooga and Knoxville shows  ....I had to attend a fucking funeral for this guy I've known for years who OD'd on a bunch of pills. Why couldn't he have waited another week?

I hope SOMEONE from here attended and can give some details. If not, maybe some will attend the upcoming shows and report back.
