Austin was a blast, and I'd love to go again next year. Here is Patty's set list (not in exact order, and I know I must be missing a new song) from the ACL Festival:

Heavenly Day
Chief
Stay On The Ride
Be Careful
Love Throw a Line
Go Now
Hang On St. Christopher
Mil Besos
Waiting for My Child
Lonely Avenue
No Bad News

Encore:
(She said she was going to try a song without any music. She sang about two lines, was smiling, and then said she had to start over. Then she started again and started laughing, saying she couldn't finish because she could hear other music in the distance (You could hear M Ward playing on another stage). It was cute.

Up to the Mountain

Patty looked lovely and happy, and sounded amazing!

Thanks for the setlist, Karen. Always nice to hear what Patty's been playing.

Didn't Patty also do the Lefty Frizzell song "I Want to Be With You Always?"

Now that I've had the week to get back into my routine, I've had time to digest last weekend.

I'm so glad this was my first show. It's funny how hearing a song live can totally change my perception of it. I always thought some of the songs on CRT were a bit too adult contemporary, but live they completely blew me away. "Heavenly Day" actually moved me to tears...swoon! "Waiting For My Child" was spine tinglingly good. It seemed to be a crowd favorite, too.

Meeting Patty was definitely the highlight of my ACL experience. She was so warm and genuine. I was a nervous wreck, so I'm sure I sounded like a completely geek rambling about how I came from Florida just to see her. She thanked me for coming, signed my little program and wished me a good weekend. :D
