I was there. Saw Jen C. there.

All the reviews I've seen say that this show was better than last year's show at the Vic. I disagree (and I'm totally in the minority on this). While I enjoyed the show, it wasn't rockin' enough for me. I did enjoy some of the new stuff, especially the revamped version of Silver Bell.

Also, being so close to the stage, I could hear the witty banter between JD and Doug...which was a nice perk. Kinda felt like part of the band.

While I'm a fan of Michael Ramos, his opening band wasn't my taste, but was a very good compliment to Patty's show. In other words, he set the tone and flavor of the show very well.

Like others, was sad that there was no second encore from Patty (due to time constraints).

I was there too and I agree with everything Brad said. I also enjoyed the show at the Vic last year more than this time, but our seats were much better last year so that probably has a lot to do with it.

It is amazing how she is able to silence a crowd with the beauty of her voice.

Wow, Top of the World and Making Pies virtually back to back. I would have been crying all over everyone.

"No Bad News"
"Wade In The Water"

Ummmm, dumb question from me, but where are these from?

"No Bad News" and "Up or Down" are new songs, I believe... "Wade in the Water" is traditional. She played it once before this tour at the KGSR 14th Anniversary show.

What about "Getting Ready"? Is that one new, or is it a cover? I've never heard of that being in her sets at all before.

Another new song, I think.

Wow, so 4 new songs by my count. Sweeeeeet. Patty's been busy! Maybe this means we won't have to wait as long for the next album. So those of you who were there, what were the new songs like? Rockin', peaceful, sad, upbeat, what?

Is it PattyFest yet?,

To the best of my knowledge, it's another new song.

I agree with you too Brad. I was not thrilled at all with this show. While I loved hearing the new songs, they didn't make up for the shortness of the show, and what I perceived as lack of enthusiasm from Patty. She really seemed into it until people started taking pictures. Maybe it's just me, but I remember a specific point where she seemed to be belting it out and a flash went off right in her face and it just seemed to upset her or something. Am I nuts? Am I the only one who thought this? She never seemed to pick it back up and she seemed to hold back after that. Maybe it's just me, I don't know.

Also, maybe I should post this elsewhere, but if you're bringing a camera, unless you're within 10 feet of the stage, the flash will do nothing but light up the peoples heads in front of you. Please hold your hand over the flash or turn it off if you can to keep it from distracting Patty and those in the audience :P Thanks!!

Can't speak to whether you are nuts or not, but I did not notice Patty holding back. My perception was, moreso, that the set was toned down. Even the more rocking tunes like Tony seemed toned down. Really, none of the new songs were 'rockers' either...the closest being Getting Ready.

I was saddened by the shortness of the show and the encore was way too rushed (guess it was due to the venue's noise ordinances).
