CRT- Survivor- Round Seven

Postby Kris » Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:44 am

At last! You SOTR folks can rejoice and direct your voices elsewhere because Stay on the Ride is officially off!

The remaining contenders:

Trapeze
Getting Ready
Burgundy Shoes
No Bad News
Up to the Mountain (MLK Song)
Crying Over

Voting will close on Thursday
It's the same old thirst for more
Until they put you in the dirt

*

You saw me through a keyhole
Of a door that I kept locked
But I decorate the threshold
Just in case you knocked

I have to go with Trapeze. I love the lyrics, and Patty's and Emmylou's vocals on this, but I'm not as crazy about the country sound.

Crying Over

This IS getting excruciating at this point but....
"You've got to sing like you don't need the money, love like you'll never get hurt. You've got to dance like no one is watching. It's gotta come from the heart, if you want it to work."
~Susannah Clark

"Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels." ~Molly Ivins

"If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner."
~Tallulah Bankhead

You're all friggin nuts! (and I should know). But more like Brazil nuts, black walnuts, betel nuts, macadamias and other exotic nuts.

Still, you're all friggin nuts!!! (So far)

Sun, sun, sun, sun... will explode in 7.6 billion years taking Burgundy Shoes with it. I'm just hastening the process.

Burgundy Shoes.

Hey Annika

We FINALLY get to vote for something else!!!

I just realized, however, that voting SOTR off has its downside, too, because now I have to vote off songs that I really adore...

well, except for one...

Up to the Mountain gets my vote

OK, that felt good. I'm over it now. Carry on, and RIP SOTR.
