You may be right, Russell.

I need help with the lyrics.

Anytime you say it with heart
Anytime you're falling apart...

That's as far as I've gotten.

Help!

Ok I gave it my best shot with the lyrics but I think I may have made quite a few mistakes, sorry. Beautiful song!

Your coming home to me

Anytime you say it with heart
Anytime your falling apart
when your lost -------
any stranger you meet
when there is someone waving goodbye
your coming home to me, just remember, your coming home to me
its a world full of ballrooms and valleys
blue nights and red river valleys
when you feel like a ---- any time or like dirt?? or ----?
and no one can see your coming home to me
just remember your coming home to me

when you get to that place thats just under the stars and over the tree
when you get there you'll know thats just as far as you go. when you get there you'll see you were already free, when you get there flalalala lalalalalalala

when your lost and your found then your found then your lost
when your dancing with no one around, your coming home to me
just remember your coming home to me

Actually that flalala lalalala part reminds me of the end of Mary, a little. Especially since there are two of them lalalalaing

When you're lost and at sea???

Or when you're lost and a sheep (OK that doesn't make any sense)

I think your right, Turk. When I first heard it I thought she said when you're lost in the seat, hahaha but that doesn't make any sense. So your probably right.

It's tough but with everyone pitching in, I know we can nail it.

And no suggestions are too outlandish!

How about this:

It's a world full of barrooms and allies
Blue nights and red river valleys

Barrooms was what I wrote down first, but couldn't figure out the second part.
Alleys makes sense to me.

Actually, it is "alleys", otherwise, Bingo!

Are those lalala's from "Mary" or "Florida"?

And "red river". Seems I've heard that before.

Okay, alleys, not allies. Ha.

And the lalas sound more like Mary than Florida.

Perhaps so, but it seems to me that Patty's lalas pack more punch than actual words in most songs.

I can’t stand not knowing lyrics, and I’m usually terrible at figuring them out lol. Evidenced by the fact I think I keep hearing lyrics about clothing and laundry. But I took a stab at it. Also I just have to how much i adore this song, even though I have to mumble over some places at the moment! And yes those are some powerful la la's.

Anytime you say it with heart
Anytime you’re falling apart
And your washing the sheets (?)
Any stranger you meet
When there’s somebody waving goodbye

Your coming home to me
Just remember
Your coming home to me

It’s a world full of bar rooms and alleys
Of blue nights and red river valleys
When you feel life is sure (?) at a time or like dirt (?)/ like a shirt and tie or like dirt (not likely)
Or a light and no one can see

Your coming home to me
Just remember
Your coming home to me

When you get to that place
That’s just under the stars
….that’s just over the tree (?)
…. At a quarter to three(?)
When you get there you’ll know
That’s as far as you go
When you get there you see
You were already free
When you get there you’ll la la la la la
Lalala lalalala lalalala lalalalala

When your lost and your found
Then your found then your lost
When your dancing with no one around

Your coming home to me
Just remember
Your coming home to me

My brother is hearing shirt and tie but unsure about the "dirt" part.

Where I hear dirt I'm thinking it could be something like

...Turn on a light
and no one can see

Also

When you get to that place
That’s just under the stars
Hanging over the tree?
At a quarter to three?

Again I'm not sure, but if it was something like that at the end it would help make the line before it make sense. I feel like it will be a 'doh' moment when I know what the real lyric is lol.
