It was fun checking out the comments in that forum, but I was ready to pounce had it taken too drastic a turn.

Okay, I've got some catching up to do on these tributes....... :D

Um. All right.........well at the urging of Angela and Marybeth.......here is my first Patty tribute.

Sorry about the weird-ish vocals. The song is just a teensy bit too high for my alto range, so when I sing high it tends to go a wee bit up into my head voice, and sound a little tinny. And well, I am not a virtuoso guitarist, or even, for that matter, a good one. So forgive me for that.

I'm so sorry, Patty...

Great job Elise! Very powerful. After getting a taste of your music over the PattyFest '05 webcam, I'm glad I could hear a full rendition that didn't break up every few seconds. Can't wait to hear you in person at PattyFest '06 and more posts to this thread real soon.

Rock on with your bad self Elise! Now I'll wait for an original...
It's the same old thirst for more
Until they put you in the dirt

You did a really nice job, Elise. Your voice is strong and mature, and best of all, doesn't go flat even in a song with long strings of the same note. You've got nothing to be ashamed of.
