Charleston Music Hall - August 18, 2007

Postby IBeacher » Mon Aug 20, 2007 4:05 pm

I snagged this from Trader's Den. Not sure if there are any rules against offering this but if you aren't able to download the show or if you prefer to receive it via mail I will gladly send out copies to those that would like it. The following is what was posted with the show. Thanks to the taper (paulisme)!

Patty Griffin
Charleston Music Hall
Charleston, SC
August 18, 2007

Lineage: iPod w/Griffin iTalk > N-Track Studio (level adjustments) > Audacity (fade in/out and track splitting) > FLAC frontend

Disc 1:
01. Get Yourself Another Fool *
02. Stay On the Ride
03. Trapeze
04. Useless Desires
05. Burgundy Shoes
06. Live Forever $
07. Backwater Blues %
08. Top Of the World
09. Long Ride Home
10. Be Careful
11. When It Don't Come Easy
12. No Bad News

Disc 2:
01. Love Throw a Line
02. Heavenly Day
03. Don't Give UP
04. Up To the Mountain
05. Truth #2
Encore
06. Let Him Fly
07. Rain
08. Getting Ready

* Sam Cooke cover
$ Billy Joe Shavers cover
% Bessie Smith cover

Notes: This was the last show of Patty's tour. Scott Miller made a couple of appearances during Patty's set, including "mopping" the floors during Love Throws a Line during which you can hear the audience and Patty laughing as a result of his antics. He also plays harmonica on Love Throws a Line and sings background on I'm Getting Ready.

Terry,
thanks for the heads up.
Patty's on the "not allowed" list of many torrent sites, so torrented shows are scarce.
I'm not sure if there are rules about circulating downloaded shows via snail mail or not, but I can also burn some copies for PattyNetters.

You're welcome :) I think it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.

Copies to Arlene, Keith & notalone went out the other day. Guess Bilbo will have a back-up copy.

I neglected to point out that these copies remain the property of the taper Paulisme and may be withdrawn at any point by taper Paulisme and/or his representatives.

Thank you Paul, Terry, Bruce! Great show, and the sound is the best I've heard from an iTalk recording. :D

Have you heard many iTalk recordings? I've only seen one other show for download where the taper used an iTalk. I was quite happy with the audio quality.

I've seen a couple of torrents on Dime and I downloaded and listened to a little of them out of curiosity, but they both sounded pretty bad. Good job!
