A word about the forum

Postby gillian » Wed Jan 19, 2005 11:53 am

I don't know why, but for some reason this subdomain (forum.pattybase.net) seems to be slightly unstable. I occasionally get 404 errors, but after a few seconds it will come back. I really don't know why this is happening, and I hope it's not too much of an inconvenience to people. I just wanted to remind everyone that if you get a 404 error, just keep refreshing the page. It should come back after not too long. Specifically, if you have just clicked the Post Message button and you get the 404 error, keep hitting refresh until you receive the success message. If you go to another URL, you will lose your message, but if you just keep refreshing that page until it works, your message will be posted.

Thanks, and sorry.

In the past couple of days, the following error has sometimes been appearing after posting:

Failed sending email :: PHP :: DEBUG MODE

Line : 234
File : /hsphere/local/home/gillian/forum.pattybase.net/includes/emailer.php

If you see this error, please just ignore it. For some reason, the sending of email notifications is encountering a problem, but it doesn't affect the actual posting of the message to the message board.

Post away!
