As much as I would like to support my home state team, I just cant bring myself to activly support the Cardinals. I do like other football teams instead, like the Saints and Patriots, but the Cardinals get no love from me. I am excited for hockey though.

I have two things to say on this glorious midwesten day...
1) GO BLUE
2) Welcome to the family, Pengy, and enjoy the game!!!

A good sports day.
Boston 9, New York 2
Schilling snaps out of it in a huge series against the You-Know-Whos and the Sox get it done. Meanwhile, the Indians and the Angels win and the Yankees are backing up in the wildcard race. Two words...hell yes.
#2 Texas 25, #4 Ohio State 22
A huge game for both teams, hyped like mad for months and rightfully so. And whaddaya know, the Horns come back and get the win! A great college football game, and I don't know when I've ever been prouder of Mack Brown and Co. I was nearly delirious towards the end. Damn, what a game!
Hook Em Horns!!

hahaaaaaaaaaaa, dayum right.
Oh, and also? Guess who made the Patriots look like a pee-wee team this weekend? Got that right. The Carolina Panthers. Mmhmmm. Dude, our quarterback had a rotten day, our new star player was out with a season-ending knee injury, and we still won with ten points to spare. Niiiicely done, fellas. *giggle of glee*
Hey Elizabeth, I saw the Seahawks won too and I was way happy for you!

Thanks Elise We got lucky though. We had almost a prefect first half and then did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the second half (that is the Seahawk curse). Thank god for our stellar defense.
I don't even know why I torture myself.

Because every so often you win and send the overrated, overhyped Atlanta Falcons crying back home on a midnight train to Georgia? But yeah, your defense is crack. I love watching a good physical defensive line...kinda reminds me of my team! I could watch Bryce Fisher sack Michael Vick on replay for, oh, I don't know, an hour. Same way I could rewind the clip of Thomas Davis taking down Brady until the tape wore out. Raar.
This week Carolina plays Miami and we're pretty evenly matched...should be a good game, and we have a great shot at winning if we can keep up the momentum from last week, especially if the Dolphins keep screwing up when they run the ball. Stephen Davis looks great, Steve Smith is solid, our offense isn't in bad shape as long as Jake Delhomme gets a good night's sleep, eats his wheaties that morning, and completes more of his passes. He can do it. And hopefully our defense will play some beautiful ball again. Yeeeeeeeee Julius Peppers. That man is a world-class player.
I wish I didn't have to work next Sunday,

Dear Sandi and Tim,
Thinking of y'all today as my Cats play your Cats.
May the best team win. (And by "the best team," I mean "my team"....just in case there's any confusion... )
love you guys,
~Lisey

HOLY FUCKING NAILBITER
but...HOORAY!!! Nice save, Chris Weinke! Now *that's* professionalism...going in as a substitute for the injured 1st string QB and coming from behind for the win. Way to tough it out and stay in the game, Panthers!
And props to the Lions for playing a hard-ass game. My Cats are gonna need a rest after that one. Ohhh but I looooooooove themmmmm...
I love John Fox's boyz,

White Sox in the Series, wow!
Although I sorta feel for St. Louis fans right now, I like the way this series is shaping up. Houston vs. Chicago, that's pretty fucking great

There are no words....I am just so happy. I don't think I have stopped smiling all night.
My Hawks can't be stopped
Oh, and Bill Parcells really made an ass out of himself, which was great!

Dude. I am wearing the BIGGEST shiteating grin right now. My Panthers done steamrollered Tampa Bay...heeeeeeeellllll yeah! Tied for first in the division! Now let's do some beefing up and beat the Falcons...
Um, Michigan people - what is going on with your Lions, y'all? They're losing spectacularly to the VIKINGS. WTF? Coming off the heels of that stupid scandal they're probably one of the most vulnerable teams in the NFL. What the hell is going on out there, Lions?
And haha, there is a part of me that is really quite gleeful that Terrell Owens got suspended for "damage to the team" after mouthing off on McNabb on ESPN. What a jackass that man is. Ok, so I said a "part of me" was gleeful...I guess it's all of me, really. Without TO, I don't mind the Eagles. But he is one insufferable asshole.
Mkay, time to go watch the recap/last halves of the other games,
~Lisey
