Thanks, I'm downloading Townes right now. I'm thrilled Steve included my favorite TVZ song, No Place to Fall.

As you may have read, Townes, Steve Earle's covers album, comes in two versions-- one with a second disc consisting of essentially "demos" or the basic tracks of just Steve with guitar. I LOVE the second disc and actually greatly prefer some of the songs on the second disc over the more highly produced versions on the first disc.
"You've got to sing like you don't need the money, love like you'll never get hurt. You've got to dance like no one is watching. It's gotta come from the heart, if you want it to work."
~Susannah Clark

"Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels." ~Molly Ivins

"If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner."
~Tallulah Bankhead

I agree Arlene.

This reminds me how much I enjoy listening to their "Together at the Bluebird cafe." Got out the CD and enjoying it now.

Good to know about Poet being reissued. Thanks Tonto

Here's a link to a recent interview with Steve Earle in the Austin American-Statesman, discussing TVZ and the new album.
